The Gospel Proclamation

Nearly 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ ascended to the right hand of his Father, and the Scriptures teach that he will reside there "until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began" (Acts 3:21). His return will mark the wondrous transition from this corrupt, sin-stricken age of man to the just, righteous rule of Christ who will set up his kingdom and "establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever" (Isaiah 9:7). Through His son, God has offered man salvation from sin and death and the hope of eternal life in this kingdom, and that wonderful news is called the Gospel, or “glad tidings”.

Contrary to popular thought, God has revealed that this hope can only be attained through the means He has prescribed in the Bible. On behalf of his servants, Christ prayed to this end, saying, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" (John 17:17). His purpose with the earth is to "sanctify" or "take out of them a people for his name" to live and reign in the kingdom (Acts 15:14), and this "taking out" is only accomplished by man hearing, understanding, and acting upon the Gospel. We, as Christ’s servants, are therefore exhorted to "preach the word" and "hold forth the word of life" (2 Timothy 4:2, Philippians 2:16).

Prophecy indicates that the faithful will be few in number in the last days (2 Peter 3:3-4, Luke 17:26-30), and this, coupled with adversity from the world, has been cause for some to "give up" on sharing the Good News. Yet the end of this dispensation is foretold to be like the "perverse generation" of Christ’s day (Isaiah 53:2), and as such difficulties did not dissuade our Master from preaching to his fellow man, we believe it shouldn’t hinder us either. The goal of The Gospel Proclamation is to work toward this end, and we will do so by sharing articles, exhortations, classes, and frequent updates on prophecy as near the return of our Lord.

The only thing we servants can do is spread the seed - it is God that gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:7). It is therefore our fervent hope and prayer that the Lord will bless our efforts to strengthen what remains and proclaim His Gospel so that any who have ears to hear might hear and live (John 5:25). We push forward in the hope that when Jesus returns, he will look upon us with grace and mercy and see us as fit for use in his kingdom, for so he has promised to do "unto all them also that love his appearing" (2 Timothy 4:8).

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith…" (Revelation 3:22).
